We are having so much fun this summer! Lots of time at the pool and playing with friends. Here's some pics from June. The boys helped daddy wash the car and their bikes one Saturday morning. There's also pics from the Greenville Drive game. We had box seats for a Sunday afternoon game and had a blast! We're loving summer!
You both have been enjoying summer camp at the preschool. You are having so much fun! You are going three days a week from 9am to 1pm. Each week is a different theme, and you rotate through different activities/stations throughout the day. You are loving being with your friends and making new ones. You guys are even asking to go to camp! Just shows how much you adore your school! You have two more weeks, then you will be off until the Fall.
A little late, but wanted to wish the best daddy and husband a Happy Father's Day! We are so proud of you for winning your first tennis tournament on Father's Day! Way to go, daddy! We love you so much and want to be just like you when we grow up!!
Xoxo, Your Little Buddies
The boys have completed another semester at The Little Gym. They both started here when they were around a year old. They have learned so much, and I really believe the skills that they have mastered will help them with any sport they choose to play one day. Jace, you completed the Sports Skills class. You enjoyed playing various sports and working on your gymnastics as well. I'm so proud of you! I wasn't quite sure if we were going to continue classes in the fall. However, you were asked to be in an "invitation only" gymnastics class, so I think we will do that beginning in August. The class will be a small group of kids really focusing on gymnastics skills and not as much play as a regular class. We talked it over, and you said you wanted to try it. Jerod, you finished up the semester of the "mommy and me" class. This is our last one together since you are three. You get to do classes all by yourself now. You got to join Jace in his class the last few weeks to get you used to being in the gym without mommy, and of course you did great! You definitely don't need me with you anymore, which makes mommy a little sad! I'll miss our Friday mornings together! You will be doing either a gymnastics class or the sports skills class in the fall. I'm so very proud of you too, honey!
I'm so behind on the blog, so you can look forward to lots of posts coming your way.....
We were in to see Dr. Chea for your three year well-check at the beginning of June. Here are your stats:
Weight: 36lbs. 87%
Height: 40 inches 93%
Your growth is wonderful! You are a healthy little guy! You had to get your finger pricked to test your hemoglobin and cholesterol. Both look very good. Actually, your cholesterol is fantastic! Dr. Chea said the chances of you having cholesterol issues later in life is very low. That was so good to hear since I worry about your eating habits alot. You are definitely in a picky eating stage right now. You fav food is pizza. You could probably eat it for every meal everyday! You are right on track with your motor development. You are a very active little man! You are swimming like a fish with no floaties! You are talking very well, but we are keeping a watch on your speech development. You are potty trained and even wake up dry in the mornings! You are such a big boy now! You are becoming very independent and want to do everything on your own. You, Jace, and daddy are the best of buds! I can't believe you're three! Love you so very much, Jerod Daniel!
JEROD IS OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED! I just had to share the news! He was showing no signs of wanting to potty train as of last week. I decided he needed a little push in the right direction. So, I told him there were no more diapers and put him in underwear! He was not a happy camper the first day! We spent lots of time in the bathroom, and I don't know how many times I said, "do you need to go potty?". Day two was much better with not as many accidents. By day three, he had the hang of it and was doing great! He also started summer camp last week, and he is in the older 3's class. Most of the kids are potty trained, so I think it helped that he saw his friends going potty. By day four, he had it down and was having no accidents! He even wore underwear to camp today, and had not one accident! He is wearing pull-ups at night, but last night woke up to go potty! I'm so proud of him! He's come a long way in just one week! It's weird not changing diapers anymore, and I couldn't be happier!!
